On May 21, 2018: Michigan Dept of Civil Rights Public Hearing on Discrimination in Schools



On Monday, May 21, 2018, there will be a public hearing by MCRC. See info below

This Monday, the Michigan Civil Rights Commission is holding a hearing on discrimination in schools.

4 people are testifying on issues with Michigan's school funding:
  • Mary Grech, Education Trust – Midwest
  • Eric Lupher, Citizen Research Council
  • Mitch Bean, former director of Michigan House Fiscal Agency
  • Lou Glazer, Michigan Future
They need to hear from YOU!

Parents, students, educators:
  • Is school funding inequitable? 
  • Does Michigan's school funding formula discriminate against some students?
Join us on Monday to tell the Commission that Michigan's school funding formula is inequitable!  Public comment starts at 6pm.
We will coordinate carpools.
Monday, May 21, 2018. 1275 S. Huron St, Ypsilanti. 3:30-8pm. Public hearing on discrimination in Michigan schools.
